Let's Talk About Kindergarten

Attention Parents!

Under the new CT state law, children must be 5 years old on or before September 1 in order to register for our 2024–2025 Kindergarten program. This is a state law and St. Rita School cannot make any exceptions.

St. Rita School kindergarten is a full-day program which begins at 8:15 a.m. Our philosophy of education is a combination of development and educational practices. St. Rita School is fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and by the State of Connecticut Board of Education. We follow the Archdiocese curriculum standards, and religious education is our primary focus. All curriculum documents are in alignment with national standards, exceed the Common Core Stat Standards, and correspond to the high expectations set by the Office of Catholic Schools. Specials include: gym, art, library, Spanish, and music once a week.

We offer before care beginning at 7:00 a.m. daily and after care immediately after dismissal until 5:30 p.m. Forms are available on our school website on our Forms and Documents page.
